Happy Haritalika Teej 2021

Today, women of Vedic Sanatan Hindu religion are celebrating Haritalika Teej festival on the day of Bhadra Shukla Tritiya by worshiping Devadi Dev Mahadev.

The Sanskrit words 'Harit' and 'Alika' are combined to form the word Haritalika. In the context of Haritalika Teej, the word 'Harit' means deprived and the word 'Alika' means friend.

In Satya Yuga, Parvati fasted on this day to have a master Mahadev as her better half and her desire worked out. In this belief today Hindu women fast so that their desires will be fulfilled. Hindu women consider this day as auspicious day. On this day women from Hindu  community worship and visits the near by temples of lord Mahadev, Ganesh and Parbati.

On this auspicious day of Haritalika Teej may lord Mahadev, Ganesh and Parbati bless us with peace prosperity happiness and good health.
